Beit Midrash - Students attending Midreshet Devora will study
in a Beit Midrash setting with their time divided between chavruta
learning and shiurim (classes).
Apartments - Students will live in apartments within walking
distance of the Beit Midrash, convenience stores, supermarkets and
restaurants. Many of the staff members, including the Director and her
family live close by. Each apartment will house students as well as a
Madricha (an Israeli counselor who is fluent in both English and Hebrew
and is available at all times to help the students make the most of
their Israel experience). Kitchen amenities will be provided for
students to prepare their own dinners. Tables, desks and chairs along
with comfortable couches and internet access will provide for a pleasant
home away from home feeling.
Shabbatot and Holidays - “In” Shabbatot and holidays as well as
off-site Shabbatonim will be conducted throughout the year. Shabbat at
Midreshet Devora will be a fun, meaningful and a unifying experience. On
free Shabbatot and holidays, students are encouraged to travel the
country. The apartments will be open all year round and students will
have access to the staff during traditional “off” times. We will ensure
that every student has a place for every Shabbat and Holiday.
